This course describes the different types of technologies that are used to support securities processing worldwide and the role of the internet today and in the future.

Learning Objectives:
When you have completed this course you should be able to answer the following questions:
- How do firms develop new applications for securities processing?
- How is data used to support securities processing?
- What are the key standards that are used in securities processing?
- How do firms use technology to communicate firm to firm and between individuals within a firm?
- How can firms use the internet to increase profits?
- How do Brokerage firms use technology for processing?
- How do Banks support their domestic custody operations with technology?
- How do Asset Managers use technology to meet their processing objectives?

This course is organized into learning modules. There are quizzes after each module to reinforce the material presented. A final test at the end assesses the information learned from the whole course. (Test and quiz scores do not count if the learner is not registered for the SIP Credential)

SIP Credential:

To receive credit for the Level 3 Credential, a minimum passing grade of 90% on the final test is required.

Validity Period:
Registration will be good for up to 1 year from the registration date. There will be a $50 fee if an extension is required.
