One of the most significant challenges facing the securities industry is managing Operational Risk.

Firms need to be able to determine the true impact of the operational risk they face in order to take a more realistic approach to controlling it. It is imperative that senior management and the business units understand the regulatory requirements and the areas of greatest exposure since failing to mitigate operational risk may jeopardize the long-term survival of the firm.

Effective risk management provides a significant competitive advantage as investors increasingly see risk management as an indicator of underlying corporate quality and sustainable financial performance.

There is an increasing need to systematically include operational risk processes in each facet of the business. Having these in place will allow firms to anticipate potential losses and prevent them whenever possible.

This Sixth Annual Operational Risk event brings together regulators, practitioners and consultants to provide an update on the regulatory and practical issues surrounding operational risk as well as to discuss critical risk management challenges and proven solutions.

A concurrent exhibit of leading operational risk software vendors will offer delegates the opportunity to identify the latest developments in operational risk management.

This event will be of interest to CEO's, directors and managers of group risk, operational risk, risk control, and operations within the securities industry.
